Born in Haiti
Realized The American Dream
Richard Antoine was born in Haiti, but moved to New Jersey to pursue a better life. Eventually, Richard moved to Georgia and was licensed as an HVAC specialist. Friends and family called Richard friendly, caring, thoughtful and the perfect father. In a world filled with hate, crime and mounting societal problems, Richard was a gentle man who cared about his family and others. From eggs to plates of food to quality time, Richard was never too busy to make the effort to drive the extra mile or make the extra call to ensure his loved ones were cared for.
Richard had an unbreakable bond with his son. There wasn't a moment that his son did not remind you that Richard was his father. From dances to video games to time at the park, Richard provided the perfect example of what was required of a father and son relationship. A relationship built on respect, love, bonds, and mentorship.
Richard was living the American dream. Tragically, on February 21, 2023, Richard's life was cut short. Our family man was doing what he loved, servicing HVAC systems. While driving his work vehicle, Richard became the victim of a road rage incident that ultimately claimed his life.
Richard is survived by his 5-year-old son, family, and friends. Richard's son touched us all when he hugged the air and proclaimed that he was hugging his beloved father.
How I'd love, love, love to dance with my father again.
